The Wedding

Thanks to all of our family, friends, and all those that helped with the wedding. It was such a beautiful day and the weather turned out perfect. The weather had been stormy with rain, hail, and thunder. I think we were all praying for clear skies. When we woke up the day of the wedding, it was SNOWING!!! We couldn't believe it but, everyone was in a happy mood and we just knew that it would be a beautiful day. When we came out of the Temple around 12Noon prayers were answered. The sun was shining. The skies were bright and clear. You could just feel the freshness in the air. It was a Beautiful Spring Day with blossoms on every tree and flowers everywhere. Definitely a DAY to Remember!!!

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post but, I still feel like I'm recovering. I need a nap. lol. I do have to tell you that on Tuesday (two days before the wedding) I developed the worst cold sore in my entire life. I've only had three (thus far) but this one made up for the other two. I was sad and grumpy about it but, tried to hide it. I guess with my dental surgery and the stress of having things ready for Liahona's family I couldn't help but have this little adversity too. I managed pretty well with the help of pain medication, my dear husband, and the support of My Family and Liahona's Family. Thanks Everyone!!! I appreciate your love and support. It was a beautiful day!!!

I have to tell you that the pictures I've posted were mostly taken by friends and family and the rest I took from my Flip Video. The Official Wedding Pictures won't be ready to see for another few weeks. At the reception I was so busy that I didn't have a chance to take even one picture. I took my camera with me in the morning to take pictures outside of the Temple after the sealing ceremony but found that I forgot to put the battery back in the camera. I had even made sure that it had a full charge. I could've kicked myself. Oh well, Thanks to everyone who took pictures for me.

This is going to be one of my favorite family pictures as I can tell by this snapshot taken by Liahona's Friend Heather. Thanks Heather for catching the moment for me so I don't have to wait to see the photographers picture.

I Need a Hug! Today's Winner!

I'm in need of a virtual MOM hug today!

As if I didn't have enough stress in my life . . . I'm just going to let you know that I'm pretty wiped out from an emergency visit to the Dentist today. I've been feeling a pain in my left jaw for several weeks now and kept putting it off and putting it off because of the wedding etc. etc. so when the pain kept getting more frequent I started worrying. My husband convinced me to call the dentist yesterday and they were able to fit me in at 7am this morning. I've needed a crown on two of my bottom molar teeth to replace the old fillings since my last visit 4 months ago.

Well, I ended up with the two crowns and another tooth with an existing crown that had an abscess and needed to be pulled. Yikes! The dentist put me totally out (anesthesia) so I didn't have to deal with all of the pain but I do have pain now from all the work he did. I'm fairly certain it will go away before the wedding. I certainly didn't want to be writhing in pain during the wedding with an abscessed tooth which could have been a strong possibility after what I found out and went through today. I'm definitely grateful that it wasn't worse. Now I just need an implant (instead of a bridge) that he will do a few months from now after it heals.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to enter my giveaway and for remaining and becoming new followers of my blog. I really appreciate all of your kind comments. It's so fun to share with you OUR talents and inspirations. You are ALL wonderfully AWESOME.

Celebration Giveaway

I'm in a CELEBRATING mood today.

Why? Well, let me tell you...
  • Can you believe it? It was my 2nd Blogiversary in March, but I was too crazy busy with life and wedding plans to blog about it until now. Thanks for your understanding.
  • We just celebrated Kenna's 11th birthday, she's my youngest. (I wish she could stay a kid forever, she's my bestest little friend and I'm going to savor every moment I have with her).
  • Our SON is getting married here in 15 days. (I'm so happy about the potential for more grandkids in the future). Yippee!
  • Another Moda Bake Shop project.

So, let's get to it and Celebrate!

I'm excited to PRESENT to you my newest
Moda Bake Shop Project.

If you've been following me along my blog journey you know that I've been learning how to crochet. It's one of my newest favorite things to do. I can't crochet very many things but I can make a few different flowers THANKS to my Aunt Claudia (she showed me how). I can also crochet the edge of pillowcases THANKS to Cassie for the great tutorials she did on her blog. Go HERE to check out the last post in Cassie's pillowcase series. If you're a beginner like me you will love her tutorials. She breaks it down for you and the pictures are so helpful. I've also been inspired by other crocheters like my friend Thimbleanna who has shared her work with me in a gift she gave to me. THANKS Anna.

I've really enjoyed learning how to crochet and kept losing my crochet hooks so I thought I'd make myself a crochet clutch and then thought hey, why not make it my next MBS project. So, that's how it came about.

This project has been made for and dedicated to YOU, my fellow quilter's and friends. Thanks for your support and genuine comments. I appreciate every ONE of YOU!

FYI: The pattern along with the printer friendly formatted tutorial should be up really soon. The administrator of the Moda site is the one who puts it together so it should be up in the next little bit. Let me know if you have trouble.

Now on to the Giveaway. . .

The First Gift:
I've decided to make another Crochet Clutch just like the one you see in the picture below. I will be giving away the Crochet Clutch (crocheted flower included) along with one of my favorite Crochet Hooks that I use to make the flowers.

Five Other Gifts :
I've also decided to give away a five handmade (by me) crocheted flowers in a color of your choice. I have several thread choices like: red, black, blue, green, pink, yellow, teal, and purple to choose from. (Please note: I have a wedding in two weeks so I ask that you be patient with me. I will get to making the flowers as soon as I pick the winners and hear back on the color choices, Thanks).

What do Eggs & Snow Have in Common?

What do eggs and snow have in common?

Easter Sunday

We woke up to SNOW on the ground this morning but by midday it had melted off enough to hide a few Easter Eggs for the kids. I'm really hoping for SPRING here soon.

I'm looking forward to green grass, blossoms on the trees, flowers in the flower pots, and a beautiful wedding day.

Just 18 days and counting . . .

Cute Easter Eggs for Kora.

These car eggs were a hit with Ben.

Ben ran for the eggs so most of the pictures I got were of his back side.

Here's one of his happy face.

Kora was happy with her easter eggs.

Kora is carrying her basket and Kenna's basket too.

I loved this picture of both of my grandkids,
I just wish the grass was greener,
at least the snow melted.

Wishing You a Wonderful Easter
with Your Loved Ones.
