Faux Cami Giveaway

My newest Moda Bake Shop Project is up today and I'm really. . . really. . . excited about it. . . so, go check it out and remember to leave a comment here on my blog and on Moda's Bakeshop. . . because I'm having a GIVEAWAY.

The PRIZES:
I will custom make 3 Faux Cami's for 3 different winners. The winner's will give me their customized measurement and then let me know which 1 of the 10 Moda Bella Colors that they'd like to use for their Faux Cami. I'm also going to throw in a tool bracelet for each winner. Since NOTE: I'm out of bali beads so, I will be using swarovski crystals instead. The winners will pick the colors of the crystals I use and the tag/flower color.

The CAMI COLOR CHOICES: (L to R) black, red, purple, aqua, green, peach, cream, blue, pink, and white.

The RULES:
  • Leave a comment on this post for one entry.
  • Leave a comment on Moda Bakeshop and come back here to leave another separate comment telling me you left a comment on the Bakeshop for one entry.
  • Watch the video then leave me another separate comment telling me you watched the video for one entry.
  • Make a Faux Cami for you or a friend and come back to leave me another separate comment telling me you made the Faux Cami for one more entry.
  • Become a follower or state that you are a follower of my blog and leave another comment.
You have five potential giveaway entries in five separate comments. Remember I'm just going to go by comments this time. So, if you take the time to do all FIVE things and then you put the information in just ONE comment. . . it will ONLY be COUNTED ONE TIME.

FYI: Several comments have been left by "no-reply" bloggers. So, this is just a reminder that I will need a way to contact you if I pick you as a winner. If I happen to pick a "no-reply" comment as a winner I will have to put it back and pick another name. Thanks!

The DEADLINE:
August 20th at Midnight. You have two weeks to leave comments and then I will announce the winner on Sunday, August 22nd (sometime during the day).

The VIDEO:

I had a lot of fun making this video tutorial but, it's really much harder than it looks. I thought it would be easy yet after hitting the record button several times and then forgetting what I was going to say, I finally stopped and wrote a little script. I eventually got it right (I thought) and then when I replayed the video I realized that I called it pin-striping instead of pin-tucking. lol. So. . . I had to re-shoot the video again, it was very funny.

I finally got a video tutorial that was acceptable enough to put up on Youtube for all to see. You can see it in HD widescreen on Youtube. FYI: On my blog and Moda's blog it cuts off the right side of the video.

Just so you know the How to Attach a Snap video can also be seen here on this post. I hope you enjoy it and your welcome to giggle with me at my mistakes. I kept dropping the snaps and then I kept hesitating because I couldn't think of what to call the different parts of the snap.

Too funny!!!

Thank you for your support in all of my creative efforts. It's always so fun to dream, create, and make things for myself and others.

Good LUCK to Everyone!!!!

This is soooooooo clever! Often the tops I buy are too low at the front for my taste so I'm going to have to make a whole set! Thanks Kim.

Just came over from Moda Bake Shop and the faux cami is fabulous. My daughter and I had just seen a commerical for these on TV but I love your easy instructions so I see plans in the very near future for some cami's. Thank you for the tutorial. Please count me in the giveway.

Have to admit here, Kim. I've never seen the "blue thing" but do have the other gadget for attaching snaps.

And, I would have never thought about making the faux cami with pleats. What a nice additional compliment.

Indeed, I commented on Moda Bake Shop at your Faux Cami post. You did a wonderful job on yet another one of your wonderful tutorials.

You've done a wonderful job on these. I'd love to win! Especially as I probably won't ever find time to make one!

And I watched your video. Great job! It is nerve-racking isn't it? Kind of gives you a bit more appreciation for Hollywood actors. By the way I noticed your beautiful ring.

I tried to watch your You Tube video but was unable to click over to it. I'll try again later.

But, hey, I think others will learn an easy way to attach snaps by your video you shared right on your blog post.

The camis are so cute, and liked your chains when saw them earlier. Please enter me into your drawing. Purple or turquoise are good colors. I can't watch videos on my slow dialup, so I'm off to Moda Bake Shop. mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com

I left a message on Moda Bake Shop about the quality of the photos, etc of your tutorial. Twin needle work is something I cannot do with my sewing machine. Your explanation of pin tucks is very good. mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com
