2011 Pin Cushion Exchange

This year I missed out on the pin cushion exchange during the quilt retreat but I snuck into the exchange with a few other ladies to watch the fun. I was only able to catch a few pictures of the pin cushions but I think you will enjoy seeing them.

Here the ladies are ready to play the game.

This is a darling wool pin cushion on a wristband.

I love this toadstool pincushion.

This cupcake pin cushion looks delicious.

This pincushion is done on a wooden spool. Very clever!

Love the Snowman!

Exchanges are a really fun thing to do with hotpads, dishtowels, pincushions, etc. We do this every year with the guild and it is so fun to see the creativity come out of people...

I don't think you can ever have enough pincushions and these are extremely cute.

Oh how fun. I can tell that the ladies put a lot of thought into what they are making for the exchange. I like the toadstool and the cup cake. I think it is the presentation on the cupcake. It looks like the current style popular cupcakes with a big, tall mound of icing.
