Thanks Cassie for letting me crochet along with you and to learn from your experience. I'm really excited about making the pillowcase and crocheting the edge. I've decided to make the first pillowcase for my grandaughter, Kora Belle. She just had her 2nd birthday a week ago.
Here are a few pictures to document my journey. . .
I have my supplies. . .
I have my fabric. . .
I bought the book. . .
I've been practicing all week. . .
And I'm ready to begin. . .
FYI. . .It's not too late for YOU to join the fun. . .
How fun. I love the fabric too.
ReplyDeletethis really looks like fun...I might have to give it a try!!

This looks like so much fun! I wish I had the time to join you. Someday I will learn how to crochet. I have done simple things like crocheting around baby blankets, but that's all. I checked out the site and she gives great details. I don't see chocolate in your supplies??
ReplyDeleteYour supplies look perfect Kim! Where did you get your crochet thread? I've been looking, but the stuff we have here is too fine, so I bought some regular cotton yarn, but I'm thinking it's too thick. By the time I get done with buying different yarns I'm going to have a hundred bucks in this project LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat yarn is lovely, I like to crochet too!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim...
ReplyDeleteYou are going to get "hooked" on crochet...(sorry, it's early here) lol:)
I used to crochet edges on pillowcases when I was a girl. My grandma taught me. She let me use her leftover threads from making doilies and things. It's fun!

That sounds like fun. I'll go check it out! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou are ready to go, girlfriend! Do get yourself some chocolate, though. LOL! Thanks for the lovely shout-out, Kim. The Posh Pillowcase post is up today.
ReplyDeleteLater,
Cassie
It has been a while since I've crochet an edge on something. I love to do it though. I should be thinking of that. But another UFO! yikes.
ReplyDeleteI love those crocheted edges on pillowslips and towels and other linens... have fun with it!
