Red & Aqua. . .
Aren't they such happy colors?
Aren't they such happy colors?
Ever since I joined Jane's 2009 Disappearing Nine-Patch Swap I've been buying more fabric to add to my meager collection of AQUA Fabric. Of course, I couldn't help buying more RED fabric while I was at it!!! LOL! It's been so much fun looking, shopping, and buying fabric. I think I've been to at least seven different quilt shops. It's interesting but there really isn't as much Aqua fabric in the stores as I thought there would be.
I have all of my fabric cut and now I'm working on sewing them back together again.
I have six blocks done and 19 more to go. I should be able to make the November 2nd deadline. Easy Peasy!!! Come join the fun if you're so inclined. I think my DD Kenna's going to want this quilt when she sees it done.
I see some of your fabric will be matching my fabric! I'm just now cutting my squares. It will be fun to see the results when they are all swapped out!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I sure wish I could join in on this swap, the colors are FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I got to be there when you purchased a few of those. And I hope I get to be the recipient of some of your blocks in the trade.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful fabrics...that is just going to be the MOST happy quilt!

ReplyDeleteI love the aqua and red together!! Beautiful!!! Nothing more fun than shopping for fabric!
ReplyDeleteFunny you should mention aqua fabric. I'm a member of a new blog "A Dozen Quilters" and first swap is making aqua and red blocks! Yes, your right I was surprised to learn that there aren't many aqua choices. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics you picked are just beautiful! I can't wait to see it come together.
ReplyDeleteAhh, you tempt me with your gorgeous fabric and your promises of a fun swap!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your fabric picks, gee it was a shame you "had" to go to so many quilt shops!!!
ReplyDeleteYour aquas and reds are beautiful! I had no luck at my local quilt shop but ordered from fabric.com so I'm anxious to receive my package and examine the fabrics. I've had good luck with them in the past.
ReplyDeleteThis will be a fun swap!
