I totally messed up my blog . . . so it's under Re-Construction. Don't ask me how I did it because it would be too complicated to explain. Just know that I can't fix it to my liking so, I'm just going to start over.
It all started because I saw this tutorial and decided to make a major change. I'm liking the changes so far but, it's a lot of work because I lost a lot of my links and gadgets, etc. You can watch this tutorial but do it at your own risk. Please don't blame me. LOL!
I'm hoping it will all work out for the better. Wish me luck on this one, I may need it.
Good luck! I'd love to change my blog, I've looked at many different options but I don't have the guts to press the save button.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and no matter how it will look like, we'll follow your adventures and your wonderful creations. So... don't stress.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: I just opened a new blog (after closing my old one after 3 years). It's just like starting a new life.
Ooo, so sorry that happened...I'm so afraid to venture in that direction...Good luck and have (fun???)fixing your blog;)
ReplyDeleteI want to do a three column but I am afraid...very afraid...but good luck....I am sure it will be awesome when you get it done.
ReplyDeleteMy "blog redesign" is totally due to a tutorial that "went wrong" too. I did a 3- column and decided to change it back. OOOPS there is NO UNDO in blogger. You have to save it manually (and you have to know how)before you change anything.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, I am sure it will be better than ever!
What you have done so far looks great! Sorry your have lost some things though.
ReplyDeleteI'll be one of the construction workers and patiently wait for instructions for the jobsite......
ReplyDeleteChanging things is always exciting, whether it is by accident or design. Just tell everyone that it is exactly the way you planned it, nothing is accidental. Get those creative juices flowing and enjoy. I have often destroyed things before I have worked out how to fix it. I am the original computer technician's nightmare lol -
ReplyDeleteonce i deleted my blog!
ReplyDeleteoh well I just started over!
good luck
still love that header picture, beautiful fabrics
Kathie
I hope it gets better...blogs can be tempormental, that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry!!! I want a new look for the fall but I am a little worried after my last update. Don't we call these "Design Opportunities"? Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, so frustrating!!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh good luck Kim! I'm too scared to go check out that tutorial (LOL). Tks so much for sharing the info on the "Really Incredible Women Blog." I checked it out and pulled Kara's button to my site. What a wonderful thing to do!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I will try as I have read this sad story too many times.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Good luck with the fixin'.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I know it will turn out great.
ReplyDeleteThese fixes take so much time! It is looking good, though....I like the blogs you follow down the side with the little pictures! I am excited to see what you end up with! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I am sure that your blog will be just lovely!
ReplyDeleteMicki
Yikes! I knew something was up yesterday when I came by -- hope you get it fixed soon -- I'll miss your snappy red and black and white!
ReplyDeleteHey from what I see you are doing a great job, good luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteI hear this quite often...this is why mine pretty much has stayed the same. I'm afraid! LOL
ReplyDeleteI am always too afraid to goof with things. Hope you get it where you want it soon.
ReplyDeleteBummer, Kim! I hope it's not too hard to get you stuff back. I'm always scared to play with the html code, because I really don't know what I'm doing and I don't want to lose my blog. Good luck getting everything back. I really loved your background before.

I used a template outside of blogger too, and not only did I lose my gadgets (at least they were easily re-done) I also lost the ability for people to leave comments! *eep!*
ReplyDeleteIt took me two or three days to get comments back but I finally figured it out. *phew!* And I love my new layout. :)
Good luck with yours!
Good luck getting it fixed! I'm always changing the layout of mine, and I've decided that I like the 'Plane Jane' look the best. Simple and easy. I do love your header though. The fabric always makes me want to go sew.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck. Lookin good so far.
ReplyDeleteKim, I wanted to venture and change mine, but now you've got me thinking different.
ReplyDeleteLooks good so far.
Keep Stitchen'

Oh my gosh...are you kidding? I would be so upset if I had to start over...I'm a do things only once kind of gal! But you...you can do anything! I know it will be even better than before...I can't wait to see the construction signs go down...
ReplyDeletex Lori
:o Looking forward to seeing your blog back up and running!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and have fun with it, at least that's what they always say when you are doing construction of any other kind ;O)
ReplyDeleteI have been so leary about changing things on my blog, mostly because I am so computer challenged. Hope you can get it all worked out!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing! Apparently wigets don't transfer when you change your blog template.
ReplyDeleteI am liking your blog so far though, love your header =0)
Hang in there! It's looking great so far! You are definitely a brave soul for trying to make such huge changes - but it will be worth it!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I and many others have messed their blogs before! that's the good thing about remembering to back up the template (which I tend to forget to do!) yours is looking great so far!
