I'm making progress on my Bubblegum Basics Quilt.
The colors are just sooo yummy!!!
I LOVE bubble gum!
(You didn't know that about me, did you?)
You can find the best bubblegum at one of our local shops here in town called Dear Lizzie's they sell Apple, Lime, Cherry, Banana, Peach and lots of other bubblegum flavors too!
Mmmm Good!
Here's what I've done so far. . .
If you can figure it out . . .
There just might be a prize involved!
(I'll tell you later, it's a surprise right now)
No hints, though!
I want to see how observant you are.
You can leave comments until Saturday.
Have FUN guessing!
If there is more than one correct answer I will draw a winner!
Good Luck Everyone!

What?
ReplyDeleteDid you lose your lucky rabbit's foot?!
UMMMM....missing....
well you haven't used that fabulous pink with red polka dot fabric (it's my favourite).
I'm not good at guessing games.
Love the fabric though!
What happy colors! Love your half-square triangles.
ReplyDeleteKelly O. I just love the pink with red polka dot too. I'm just thinking that I'm saving it for the binding.
ReplyDeleteI think you are missing bubble gum, something to chew on while you are working!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric. I think you are missing the Bubblegum Basics Hanky Panel.
ReplyDeleteI for sure have no idea but that quilt sure is gonna be pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I can't wait to see how this quilt turns out.
ReplyDeleteFun fabrics! I have no idea what's missing...bubble gum wrappers???
ReplyDeleteThanks for the eye candy though...really fun, bright and cherry fabrics!
Hugs
If I leave a hint. . .
ReplyDeleteI'll give it away. Just keep looking at the pictures of the HST's.
I'll help you out though if no one get's it.
Keep checking back. . .
You have only used 8 of the fabrics and you have 13.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, BubbleGum Pink????
ReplyDeleteI don't see anything in peach. Where are the jelly rolls?
ReplyDeleteThere is no applique showing on the half square triangle photos. You said there would be applique on this quilt. Is it the applique that is missing?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabrics! You seem to have every flavor represented except peach.
ReplyDeleteNo peach
ReplyDeleteI cant see any of the dark-green in the last pictures :)
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh...I have no clue what is missing (but I'm thinking you aren't talking about a certain fabric or color). I love what you have shown so far, though...such FUN fabrics!!!
ReplyDeleteA wild stab in the dark - something pink! Beautiful fabric though! I always hate trimming off those ears!
ReplyDeleteThere is lots missing... the bunny ears (obvious), the white fabric with cherries, the red stripe fabric, the red polka dot fabric, the pink fabric with polka dots, you definitely haven't used 13 fabrics yet, and the applique is missing. But I also like Jane's guess bubble gum!
ReplyDeleteYou only have one lot of stripes? Gosh they are too perfect to think of whats missing but thats my guess...lol..hugs Khris
ReplyDeleteyou are missing the bubblegum pink color.
ReplyDeletethis fabric is so yummy. i really WANT some!
These colors are great. I think you are making the quilt that you have in your banner. The updated yellow and white Ohio Star quilt. Either way, I love the colors and can't wait to see it done!
ReplyDeleteuummm, a center panel?
ReplyDeleteYou've got pairs for each color family: blue, green, yellow, red. Although the pile of blue polka dot looks alittle thin. But there are no pairs of pinks.
ReplyDelete192 half square triangles without bunny ears, but I see two bunnies with ears. Looking for the bubbelgum pink too...lots of red and red stripes.
ReplyDeleteGood Gravy, Kim!!! That's a tough one! I have no idea!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit hard not to cheat by reading other comments to see what everyone else thinks is missing... hmmmm.
I guess I'll go along with the fact that you haven't used all the colors yet?
Clueless!!
I was going to say you are missing PINK, the quintessential color of bubblegum. I know that has been said already, but that is what I was going to say before I clicked to the comments section. Cute colors and can't wait to see the finished quilt top!
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to trim the ears of the concrete bunnies? ^_^
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the buble gum basics too! I'm making a quilt right now with them!
ReplyDeleteThere is not enough blue there...and you didn't use any blue stripes...

My guess is grape! No grape bublegum or fabric!
ReplyDeleteI probably shouldn't guess twice, but I was reading the post before and you say "she loves orange too" so I'm thinking maybe it's orange fabric???!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love these fabrics, too. I bought several of them to make a bag for when I go to the American Quilters Society Quilt Show in Knoxville, TN. I always have to have a new bag for quilt show shopping!
ReplyDeleteLet's see. The first thing I noticed is that the bunnies (statues)are missing. Then I went back to the post where you showed the fabric after you bought it and noticed that you didn't use several of the fabrics.
Gosh I have NO idea! i just spent ten minutes looking at your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI know the line and you didn't use some of the colors...
maybe a purple or orange?
Gosh, Kim, this is hard. I always try so hard to find what's missing and look right past the obvious answer! There's not a lot of PINK--is it a pink fabric???? Bubble gum is usually pink....??
ReplyDeleteI am dying to know what the answer is!
I only see 8 prints, where are we going to see the other 5?? Binding, backing and applique? I can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry this has been a bit harder than I intended but, one person has gotten it right so, I can't really give any hints because right now I have a winner. I'll wait to see if anyone else get's my thinking and tell you the winner on Saturday. Thanks Everyone for playing along!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome to take another guess too if you want.
If it is something missing from the 3rd pic, that is in the first two, then I would say it is the bunnies.
ReplyDeletePink! Pink's missing!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I'm too busy drooling over that quilt. Kim you are beyond amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I could make quilts.
And you are right, Dear Lizzie's is like a wonderland of all things sweet.
How's goes the end of the year battle over at the school?
And I was wondering.......do you guys garden? If not, I'd love to share our garden bounty with you this year. Maybe pay you back a teeny bit for all that you did for Parker.

I only see 8 of the 13 fabrics.
ReplyDeleteIf you have half square triangles, why do you have bunny ears?? Where did they come from??
ReplyDeleteI don't see any grape flavor....hmmmm
ReplyDeletelooks yummy though no matter what...
You are missing the pink with red dots fabric. I love the fabric, very cute.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these bright colors. I'm no good at puzzles though. Just can't wait to see the finished project!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Fabrics!!! I would think your missing some solid squares? or sashing... Going to be gorgeous when its done!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices of fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love bubblegum too :) When I was browsing your blog I came across the post where you mentioned this quilt. I guess you haven't cut out the applique pieces yet? I was wondering what you were going to applique? I'm guessing the missing colors will be part of the applique.
So are you missing the appliques or the bubble gum...or both?
Where is the pretty floral fabric?? Don't know if that is what you call it, but I don't see the white background with flowers.
ReplyDeleteIn the first picture with the completed squares, half the triangles were white. In the second pictures of beautiful colors no white triangles.
ReplyDeletekathy
Oh I missed it. That is what I get for being sick and not paying attention. You always have the sweetest things to give.
