Perhaps a small quilt or a bag. <br /><br />Those banners look great!Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864738481827087777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257335425935550178.post-36428876965370263562011-03-31T07:33:15.280-06:002011-03-31T07:33:15.280-06:00Hmmm. I'm not a good test case though 'cause I prefer retreats to catch up on projects LOL.Thimbleannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03650582809426872051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257335425935550178.post-78961803763810532882011-03-31T05:08:58.314-06:002011-03-31T05:08:58.314-06:00I think a table runner is perfect size for a retre...I think a table runner is perfect size for a retreat. I am reasonably comfortable with my own skill level and don't have a problem being far behind (and un-stitching my life away!), but I do know a lot of women who feel under a great deal of pressure to keep up so another thing with larger projects would be that those who work far ahead can inadvertently make newbies feel uncomfortable or intimidate them. Perhaps there would be a choice of projects based on skill level or time commitments that the individual is prepared to put in during the retreat.Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319467187827323958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257335425935550178.post-42930041534584095682011-03-30T17:45:43.320-06:002011-03-30T17:45:43.320-06:00At a retreat function, if I were learning, anythin...At a retreat function, if I were learning, anything on a small scale like a block or a small project like a small quilt, purse, runner--so that I don't have a huge amount of cut out fabric and not sewning up the project for 3 years. For free sew, I would probably take a fun project to work on.Material Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04922099758203364403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257335425935550178.post-45637379225897656262011-03-30T16:51:50.069-06:002011-03-30T16:51:50.069-06:00A throw size quilt seems like a manageable size pr...A throw size quilt seems like a manageable size project for a quilt retreat, and I love throw quilts!MonikaChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16455342779235397186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257335425935550178.post-56005060795505945422011-03-30T16:03:44.944-06:002011-03-30T16:03:44.944-06:00I think a table runner, or small quilt (to use as ...I think a table runner, or small quilt (to use as a wall hanging). I'd stay away from purses though. Purse style likes and preferences vary too much to find one style a lot of people would want to make.Judihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16932500297659852070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7257335425935550178.post-81107753236904117412011-03-30T15:27:48.259-06:002011-03-30T15:27:48.259-06:00I agree with Pat's comment above. I'm still struggling to finish a twin size quilt I foolishly thought I could quilt myself. And if it was small enough for me to quilt myself, that would be a bonus. From that, you could see some things on your list would be better for me than others.Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03930049919252042391noreply@blogger.com
